It’s clear that Katherine and Daisy have a strong connection, but often other questions come up regarding Daisy’s role. What is Daisy’s role?
Daisy “works” for Katherine assisting her with symptoms of PTS and traumatic brain injury, which she suffered while deployed as a US Marine
How long has Daisy been with Katherine?
Can I pet Daisy?
Yes, just make sure to ask Katherine first
How can I tell if Daisy is on or off duty?
Daisy is always working when she is with Katherine, but she is officially on duty when wearing her service dog vest
Can I give Daisy a piece of my food?
Daisy will probably enjoy that, just make sure to ask Katherine first
Is Daisy allowed to enter places where pets are otherwise not permitted?
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), it is required that privately owned businesses that serve the public allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals onto business premises in whatever areas customers are generally allowed.
