Yes, we serve all of New York City’s firefighters (FDNY), and provide services in all 5 boroughs and Long Island.
I’ve heard of Friends of Firefighters but want to find out what you’re about before making an appointment for a service.
If you would like to get to know us before making an appointment for a service, feel free to stop by the old firehouse for a visit, where we are Monday – Friday from 9AM-5PM. Or, join us for our monthly On the Arm Breakfast, where you can enjoy a meal with your peers, the second Wednesday of each month.
No; many firefighters view FoF as their home away from home – a place to be around peers and an opportunity to volunteer. Whether you want to come by for one of our services, a cup of coffee, or to help out with a project, you are always welcome.
Due to the support of donors, we are proud to say that all of our services are currently available at no charge.
No, On the Arm Breakfasts are held the second Wednesday of every month from 8AM – 11AM and are open to all firefighters & their families, service men and women & their families, and volunteers.
Yes, appointments are flexible and no, you do not need to commit to a regular schedule, although many people choose to do so. We are open Monday – Friday 9AM-5PM. Evening appointments are sometimes available as well. We’ll work with you and your schedule.
“What you say here stays here.” Your identity is never shared with others, whether you come for acupuncture, a financial workshop, or counseling services. We are not affiliated with the FDNY and no records are shared.
