Ride for Resilience Closing Ceremonies

  • Ireland House - Annie Moore Event Room 200 Park Avenue, 17th Floor New York, NY USA (map)

As we draw a week and a half of profound remembrance, reflection, and peer support to a close, Friends of Firefighters invites you to join Irish dignitaries, community leaders, and first responders at Ireland House. The history of the FDNY is deeply woven with Irish heritage, and this evening offers a dedicated space to celebrate that enduring legacy, honor our visiting Irish firefighter brothers and their families, and offer a warm send-off before their journey home.

This gathering serves as a milestone for our international first responder community. Beyond honoring the memory of those lost on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we are looking toward the future—reinforcing our joint commitment to deepening the peer support bond and wellness partnerships between the American and Irish firefighting communities for generations to come.

Event Highlights

  • Hospitality: Beer, wine, and passed hors d'oeuvres served from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

  • Dignitaries & Community Gathering: Connect with representatives from the Consulate General of Ireland, leaders, and visiting first responders.

  • Honoring Heritage & Brotherhood: Celebrate the foundational Irish culture within the FDNY and give a formal send-off to our visiting Irish firefighters and their families.
