Standing in Solidarity: NYC Veterans Day Parade 2026

The Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) NYC Chapter has extended an invitation to the Friends of Firefighters community to march together in unity at the 2026 NYC Veterans Day Parade.

This joint appearance highlights the shared bond, service, and resilience of New York City’s veteran and first responder communities. Key aspects of this initiative include:

• Demonstrating Unity & Solidarity: Marching side-by-side along Fifth Avenue offers a powerful public statement of support between the Aaron Clark Peer Support Team and military veterans, reinforcing a shared commitment to mental health support for the first responder and veteran communities.

• Honoring Intersectionality: Many FDNY firefighters are military veterans themselves, and both groups share a unique culture of duty, selflessness, and sacrifice. This collaboration highlights where these two essential service communities meet.

• Strengthening Peer Support & Connection: Participating together provides an opportunity to deepen ties between first responder and veteran support networks, building lasting connections beyond the parade route.

• Shared Values: Guided by TMF’s ethos—“If Not Me, Then Who...”—the initiative honors those who step up to serve in uniform, whether in military service or on the fireground.
