Honor & Remembrance: Bear Mountain Hike up the Trail of the Fallen

The Aaron Clark Peer Support Team is hosting a commemorative hike up the Trail of the Fallen on Bear Mountain, bringing the FDNY community together to honor both FDNY Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

This event combines outdoor fellowship with a solemn tribute to those who served and sacrificed in the fire service and the military. Key highlights include:

  • Dual Commemoration: A shared opportunity to observe FDNY Memorial Day and Veterans Day together, recognizing the deep historical overlap between military service and the fire department.

  • Reflective Journey: Hiking the symbolic Trail of the Fallen at Bear Mountain provides a meaningful backdrop for quiet reflection, shared stories, and honoring the memory of fallen brothers and sisters.

  • Health, Resilience & Camaraderie: Physical activity in nature is a proven avenue for stress relief and connection. The hike invites you to learn a new skill while leaning on peer support in an informal, outdoor setting. We encourage you to include your family!
